J. sent me this awesome poster created by design student Julian Hansen. I want one to frame!

make your own deodorant

How awesome does this sound? Since Origins stopped making their Totally Pure Deodorant, I’m glad I found this. I haven’t used another deodorant I like, but this DIY project sounds like a winner. Can’t wait to try it at home.

dear muji, .4mm is my fav

I love Muji’s new .4mm pen. The .38mm is a bit too skinny, and the .5mm is just too fat. The only problem is that Muji is selling the .4mm as a seasonal item in the U.S., which means they don’t carry ink refills in stores. What do Muji employees recommend? Order the refills from Japan.

little girl’s dress

I made this dress out of some IKEA bedding I found on sale for $5. What little girl wouldn’t want to wear this?

lattes

Kelley got a new espresso maker for Christmas, and we had lattes this morning. Yum! Trader Joe’s sells D’Aquino espresso. Perfect for making at home. Who needs Starbucks?

it is important to use your hands

Paul Rand was so very correct. One of my goals for 2010 is to use my hands to create more often than I currently do. I will sew, draw, paint, build, cut, and cook.

Check out the poster in the picture. When Eddie made these a few months back, I wanted one right away. It’s my everyday reminder to not be a cow.

fun home projects from 2009

I love Apartment Therapy‘s Best of 2009. Check out their list of 25 DIY Projects That Cost Less than $50. I’ve been working on my own T-shirt quilt for years now. I should really finish it in 2010.

pocky

I love Pocky. They remind me of shopping in Chinatown with my mom as a child. I’ve never seen coconut, though! Yummy.
